Pompeii Casts. 3 male victims? Possibly those found in V.3.2 in 1902?

Victim 84. Possible 1902 first or third victim?

V.3.2 Pompeii. 1902. Possible victim number 1 or 3 in I.8.17 Pompeii. December 2007. Room 10, plaster cast of victim 84 (front).
The find date and location of victim 84 are unknown.
Four hypotheses have been put forward.
1.	This could be the cast from the stair in Marcus Fabius Rufus found in 1961 and now referred to as Calco H.
2.	This could be the cast recorded in the Orto dei Fuggiaschi on the 10th of April 1961.
3.	This could be the victim found on the 24th January1882 in the vicolo delle Pareti Rosse and now referred to as Calco A.
4.	This could be the first of the three casts, with an arm, upper part of the trunk, and the head, or the third almost complete cast, made in 1902 in the taberna V.3.2. This hypothesis should be shared with the cast that was not found (Calco G).
See Osanna, N., Capurso, A., e Masseroli, S. M., 2021. I Calchi di Pompei da Giuseppe Fiorelli ad oggi: Studi e Ricerche del PAP 46, pp. 512-514, Calco n. 84a to 84f.
Paribeni in NdS 1902, records: In fact, on the following 10th June only the cast of an arm with the upper part of the chest and the head emerged from a skeleton; of another, a portion of the trunk, and of a third, the almost complete cast. All these casts, however, due to the void being occupied in many places by lapilli, were very unclear and such that no value could be attributed to them.
See Notizie degli Scavi di Antichità, 1902, p. 379.

Victim 85. Possible 1902 second victim?

V.3.2 Pompeii. 1902. Possible victim number 2 in I.8.17 Pompeii. 1968. Casa dei Quattro Stili, cubiculum NE of atrium, cast of victim 85 from above.
This cast is not from this house.

Victim 85 is probably a male, aged over 20 years.
The date and place of discovery is unknown.
Two hypotheses are put forward:
1. It is possible it may come from I.21.2/6, the Orto dei Fuggiaschi, recorded in the excavation diary on the 10th of April 1961.
2. It may be a cast made in 1902 during the excavation of the taberna V.3.2. Three casts were made, and all were recorded as unsuccessful (malriusciti).
See Osanna, N., Capurso, A., e Masseroli, S. M., 2021. I Calchi di Pompei da Giuseppe Fiorelli ad oggi: Studi e Ricerche del PAP 46, pp. 515-6, Calco n. 85.
The right leg seems to still be attached to the body and part of the head can be seen.
This could be the second of the casts recorded in 1902 with only a portion of the trunk.

Calco G. Possible 1902 third victim?

V.3.2 Pompeii. 1902. Possible victim number 3. 1968. I.8.17 Casa dei Quattro Stili, cubiculum NE of atrium, cast of Calco G from above.
This cast is not from this house but is still in the same room as it was in the Jashemski photograph of 1959 below.

The victim is thought to be a male and appears to have drapery rolled up at the waist.
There is no record of the find date or location.

The Jashemski record says that this photo was taken in I.8.17 in 1959, but this victim most probably did not come from this house.

Of Calco G there are only photographs. The cast is missing.
There is no record of the find date or location.
As the Jashemski photo is dated 1959 it is too early to be from the Garden of the Fugitives which was excavated in 1961.
There is therefore the remote hypothesis that - as for casts 84 and 85 - the cast is the third found in 1902, during the excavation of a taberna (V.3.2), which turned out to be an almost complete cast (although considered unclear). In this case the cast would have been brought to the casa dei Quattro Stili following the excavation of the latter (1937-38).
